The Dream of Fireflies (Le rêve des lucioles) is an artistic experience by French artist Romain Tardy that blends light installation, digital art, and the visitors’ exploration of the space. At its heart is a fictional character named Lucie, through whom visitors are invited to explore dreams and imagination in a poetic, sensory journey. The concept draws on the REM sleep phase, known for vivid dreams and intense sensations, to guide the rhythm and atmosphere of the experience. Set outdoors, the installation includes kinetic lights, LED displays, and ambient sound, all working together to create an immersive and meditative environment. Visitors are encouraged to slow down, reflect, and lose themselves in a world where light and sound gently evoke the beauty and fragility of dreams.
